October is packed with special gigs for us. This blog is only 3 of them, check our “shows” page for a complete listing.
On Oct 12 we will share our I See My Light program at the Park Hill United Methodist Church in Denver, CO. This is the Church where Araceli took Sanctuary for (time?) We really love sharing this program which includes the videos made for Sanctuary Sories. It is a moving experience for everyone involved and is a great way to support and engage with a movement for justice.
We are so delighted to have been invited back to the I Am Music Series which goes down at the 11th St Station in Durango, CO on Oct. 19. We’ve been honored to be a part of the I Am Music family for some years now, and Durango is a favorite destination for us. Special bonus is we get to play with Carter Colia again which means a song or two from the White River Runoff project. His thunderous toms in the mix really brings the dance party. Last year there were fire spinners, this year Head for the Hills is headlining the evening and once again it all coincides with the State Highschool Mountain Bike Tournament. Gonna be a night to remember.
We told all of our email subscribers that we were playing at Harvest Fest which is otherwise known as Mountain Harvest Festival in Paonia, CO! We did not. Not this Year. At least the date we gave was right, Oct 26 but the event is Cider Fest!
We love Delicious Orchards, Home of Big B’s, on HWY 133 between Paonia and Hotchkiss. We love the Autumn extension we get by going there late in the season. Fingers crossed for that late October blue sky with a puffy and a favorite scarf. We’re looking forward to campfires, rope swings, the smell of the orchard at the end of the season and of course great Cider! Here’s some Paonia memories from back in 2014, what a special Dia de Los Muertos celebration we participated in at the Paradise Theater. We had so much fun with this Photo Shoot with Daniel Fonkin all over town.
